International Foundation Programme
In the international education system, the 2 years prior to entering Universities is a pathway phase, namely the international foundation level (which in the British education system is known as Sixth Form). In this phase, students are able to study in a more independent and modern area of the school, separated from their younger schoolmates. Compared with elementary and secondary school level, the curriculum at this stage becomes more selective, self-driven and targeted to match the entry requirements and the modules of universities. Students are also requested to dress and behave to a Higher Education standard; if a student studies in a boarding school, he/she will be allowed to live in a twin room or even a single room to prepare for adult life.
